ZeeWeeTM III Bird DNA Sex Test is an on-site DNA sexing test for fowl, including geese, ducks, quail, turkeys, and peacocks. Get accurate sex determination results in just hours, without the need to ship samples to an external lab!
Sample collection is easy: DNA is extracted from blood and feathers. Result interpretation is clear: two bands indicate a female, one band a male.

One kit of ZeeWeeTM III Bird DNA Sex Test provides enough material for 38 tests (32 samples + 6 controls). The kit includes reagents and PCR tubes. Equipment is sold separately.
The kit has been validated using samples from Cairina moschata, Anas platyrhynchos domesticus, Anser cygnoides, Anser anser, Coturnix coturnix, Meleagris gallopavo, and Pavo cristatus samples with miniPCR® equipment. This kit is not suitable for sexing chickens (Gallus gallus domesticus), where ZeeWee I is recommended.

Shipping and Storage
Orders are typically shipped through a third-party carrier, such as UPS, and are delivered to the address provided during checkout.
Reagents are shipped only Mon-Tues-Wed overnight to guarantee the integrity of the product.
Store reagents in a freezer (-20 ºC) immediately upon arrival.
PCR tubes can be stored at room temperature.
What do I need to start?
To start you lab: check the gelPCR™ Bundles, they contain all the equipment and consumables to start.
Refills: to keep your lab running, you will need consumables refills. Check the Learning Lab Companion Kit, ideal for running 38 tests.
Check the User’s Guide for the complete list of necessary materials. Some materials, such as gloves, tweezers, and toothpicks are not available on our website.
